Russki Chai is a club activity held every second Wednesday night. The Russophiles Circle wanted to have a casual social event where people could socialize and interact with each other, so the Russki Chai evenings serve that very purpose. Everyone is invited to meet new people, to have interesting conversations and to mingle, all while enjoying cookies, baked goods and cups of tea.
The atmosphere is really casual and laidback and people are welcome to arrive when they want and are free to leave when they wish. It's also a great opportunity where we encourage people to speak and practice Russian with native Russian speakers and with others learning the language. However, people who have no knowledge of Russian are just as welcome to come socialize in English or French and to learn more about the culture. We look forward to talking to you and to meeting the newcomers over a warm cup of tea!
Every second Wednesday from 7 to 10 p.m in room 114, ARTS pavilion. The first Russkii Chai is on September 16th.
